Salman Khan, Anees Bazmee ‘Ready’ for Sequel

Producer Bhushan Kumar has revealed that talks are on with the director and actor for a sequel to their 2011 hit.

Producer Bhushan Kumar has revealed that talks have begun for a sequel to 2011’s Ready which starred Salman Khan and was directed by Anees Bazmee. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers are simply waiting for a script and Salman’s availability.

Salman has just started shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, also produced by Bhushan Kumar. The 52-year-old actor also has Prabhudheva’s Dabangg 3 and brother Sohail Khan’s Sher Khan on his plate.

Bhushanji and I have been in talks for a few months now. He had also been interested in making Ready 2 for quite some time.

“We are in talks with Salman bhai and Anees bhai for Ready 2. We are waiting for the script to get ready so that we can take it forward.”

The original Ready featured Asin opposite Salman. The leading lady for the sequel is yet to be finalised. Ready was a remake of the Telugu film of the same name and the cast included Paresh Rawal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Puneet Issar and Arya Babbar.
