Sagarika Ghose’s bare-knuckle biography of Indira Gandhi, Indira - India's Most Powerful Prime Minister is set to be adapted to film. The eminent journalist and author took to Twitter to make an official announcement about signing a contract with Vidya Balan and Roy Kapur Films, Siddharth Roy Kapur’s film and digital media production house.
Though it got polarising reviews, Ghose’s book, drawn from the work of several historians and biographers serves as a primer for the new generation.
Whether Vidya Balan will play Indira Gandhi, the first woman Prime Minister of India is yet to be seen.
