Ever since they co-starred in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, there’s been no denying the chemistry between Ranveer and Deepika. While the couple may have kept mum about their relationship, seeing the actors in their roles as star-crossed lovers in Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani said it all. Here’s a look at some of their best on screen moments together.

‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’

It was on the sets of Ram-Leela that the #DeepVeer romance blossomed... Their wedding date, 15 November, also happens to be the same date that the film—their first together—released in 2013.

In this interpretation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Ranveer and Deepika play lovers who belong to warring clans. Deepika’s character proves to be just as feisty as Ranveer’s, which we’re sure translates to real life too.

Deepika matches Ranveer step for step. We can’t wait to see the two get down at their wedding reception.

‘Bajirao Mastani’

We can’t think of a better duo to play out the characters of this epic tale of love, longing and tragedy—aka all the makings of the perfect love story, right?

Greeting his beloved while standing in the middle of a fountain is the sort of crazy, grand gesture we’d absolutely expect from Ranveer.

There they go looking at each other all starry-eyed and in love again.

The two riding into battle as equals could just as easily be seen as a metaphor for their real life relationship as one of Bollywood’s power couples.

‘Finding Fanny’

Ranveer played a cameo role as Deepika’s first husband Gabo in Finding Fanny. He brought all the wackiness he could summon to the role, which suited him to a T. Apparently, he did the role for free. Well, now we know why.
