While talking to The Quint Rahul expressed how in a society like ours, anybody can fall prey to child sexual abuse. He encouraged more and more people to come forward and raise their voice against child sexual abuse and also spoke about how NGO HEAL has been helping people and spreading awareness among the masses.

Rahul initiates people to talk about child abuse.
The person feels he/she is at fault, which is not the truth. The shame is not of your’s, it is the perpetrator’s. People do not speak openly about the issue as they think that the families name will be at stake.

Vidya Balan encouraged people to help the sufferers of child abuse.
It is the difficult truth. I never wanted to accept the truth. I always thought it happens far away in villages or lower strata of the society. I know friends who have been through this and that scarred their life. I have reached a stage where I cannot trust anybody, which is very unfortunate.
