After lyricists Javed Akhtar and Sameer denied being a part of the upcoming PM Narendra Modi biopic, film producer Sandip Ssingh has finally issued a clarification about why the two lyricists were named in the film’s trailer. On Saturday, Ssingh tweeted saying that the film has taken songs written by Akhtar and Sameer. And hence, credited the two for the same.

“We have taken the songs 'Ishwar Allah' from the film '1947:Earth' and the song 'Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon' from the film 'Dus' in our film, thus we have given the due credits to respective lyricists Javed Sahab and Sameer Ji. @TSeries is our Music partner.”, he tweeted.

Earlier, eagly-eyed viewers had spotted Akhtar’s name in the end credits of the recently launched trailer for PM Narendra Modi trailer. Many had expressed surprise since Akhtar has been known to criticise the BJP and PM Modi’s government. Following Akhtar’s denial of the same on Twitter, lyricists Sameer too expressed shock to see his name in the credits of the film’s trailer.
