Bollywood is riding the biopic wave. The journey of Mithali Raj, the captain of the women's cricket team is then ripe terrain for a screen adaptation. In an interview with The Times of India, she confirmed the development and even spoke about who she thinks would be apt to essay her role.
“I think Priyanka Chopra will be a great choice (to play me). Our personalities match a lot. I am not a movie buff, so I’d love the experts to do their job.”

The filming of Mithali’s biopic is likely to kickstart in 2019. Priyanka Chopra had earlier played Mary Kom in the film of the same name. PeeCee is also set to star in Salman Khan’s Bharat.
