The IIFA Awards 2018 aired on television on 29 July with a tribute to the late Sridevi. But the tribute video seems to have invited trouble. A lady, Saba Arif, has alleged that it was plagiarised from a tribute video she had made and uploaded on YouTube in March 2018. According to her, her video was used by IIFA without her permission and simply peppered with a voiceover and some stills. She also alleges that she was not given credit for the video that could have been ‘the biggest privilege of her career’.

Sridevi passed away on 24 February 2018.

Arif took to Facebook to protest against IIFA:

Would IIFA respond to the allegation?
