Box-office: Akshay’s ‘PadMan’ Earns Over Rs 62 Crore in Seven Days
Akshay Kumar starrer ‘PadMan’ earns big at the box-office.
After a decent opening, Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan has raked in Rs 23.94 crore at the end of the second day of its release. Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted the business figures signalling its rapid stride. It earned Rs 10.26 cr, 13.68 cr and Rs 16.11 cr on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively, crossing the Rs 40 cr mark at the end of day 3.
Within five days of the release of PadMan, Akshay Kumar has proved his mettle as a star to rely on, for box office returns as his film crosses the Rs 50 cr mark. With the release of Marvel’s Black Panther on Friday, PadMan’s collections are bound to take a hit but it has fared well in a week’s time.
Also starring Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor, PadMan has reportedly released in 2750 screens in Indian, and 600 screens worldwide. With good word of mouth and a strong social message, and starring a superstar, PadMan is expected to make good business at the box-office.
