No Plans to Make a Biopic on Sridevi, Clarifies Boney Kapoor

Is there a Sridevi biopic in the works?

Recently there have been reports in the media that Boney Kapoor is planning to make a biopic on his late wife and actor Sridevi. However, speaking exclusively to The Quint, the veteran film producer clarified that there is no truth to these reports. “There is no such plan, I have just registered the title and copyrighted the name so that no one else misuses it,” said Boney Kapoor.

When asked if there would be a chance that he might be open to making a film on the popular actor in the future, Kapoor said, “You never know what can happen in the future, but as of now I am not.”

We guess that puts an end to all the speculation about there being a Sridevi biopic in the pipeline. Sridevi is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actresses of Indian cinema in recent times. She got married to Boney Kapoor in 1996, and they had two daughters Janhvi and Khushi. Sridevi, was found dead in her hotel room in Dubai on the 24 February, 2018.
