The trailer to Rakesh Omprakash Mehra directorial Mere Pyare Prime Minister has been released. The film follows the tale of a young boy who lives in a slum in Mumbai with little access to basic toilet facilities. After his mother is raped on the way to relieve herself, he decides to write a letter to the Prime Minister and sets off on a journey to Delhi to appeal to him in person.

Mere Pyare Prime Minister stars Anjali Patil, Atul Kulkarni, Om Kanojiya and Niteesh Wadhwa and has been scored by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy. It releases on 15 March.
