Rani’s Tireless Hunt for a Murderer in ‘Mardaani 2’ Trailer
‘Mardaani 2’ will release on 13 December.
The trailer for Mardaani 2 just dropped and and Rani Mukerji is back in one of her most fierce roles. Mardaani 2 marks the directorial debut of Gopi Puthran, who wrote the original script, and will be produced by Aditya Chopra.
A sequel to the 2014 film, Mardaani 2 marks the return of Rani Mukerji as the fearless cop ready to fight for justice despite the hurdles thrown at her by the system and society both. The trailer begins with a rape-related fact about India and then shows a stranded woman taking a lift from a strange man. The girl’s dead body is eventually located and turns out that she had been tortured and raped before being murdered. The story is set against the town of Kota, Rajasthan where a serial rapist is on the loose and Rani Mukerji is out to get them.

Earlier, a teaser had been shared to announce Mardaani 2. The teaser showed Rani entering a gated area along with her team of police officials, in what seems to be a surprise raid. Interestingly, the actor is donning a police uniform this time unlike in Mardaani, where she was seen in civil dress. The 38 second teaser ends with Rani brutally thrashing someone while she says, “Ab tu kissi ladki ko haath laga ke toh dikha... tujhe itna marungi, ki tere twaja se tere umra ka paata nahi chalega.”
Earlier, YRF had shared the first look of her from the sets of the film.
Mardaani 2 will hit theatres on 13 December 2019.
