1. ‘Chhichhore’ Trailer: Sushant & Shraddha Take You Down Memory Lane

The trailer for Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Chhichhore has been released, fittingly on Friendship Day. Set in the ’80s or ’90s, the film follows Sushant and his ragtag group of friends through their college days.

Chhichhore has been directed by Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari and co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment. also stars Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Prateik Babbar, Tushar Pandey and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. The film is set to hit theatres on 6 September.

2. Shabana Azmi to Star in Steven Spielberg’s Web Series ‘Halo’

Actor Shabana Azmi has been signed on for a role in Halo, a new web series to be produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by BAFTA award-winning director Otto Bathurst of Robin Hood fame. The series is based on Halo, one of the most popular video game franchises in the world which has sold more than 77 million copies since its initial release in 2001. The series comes from Showtime, Amblin Television and Microsoft.

3. Saif and Aamir Roped in for Hindi Remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’

Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan are reportedly set to feature in the Hindi remake of 2017 Tamil hit Vikram Vedha, which starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. The story is a modern day take on the folk tale of Raja Vikramaditya and the spirit Betal, where Vikram is a cop in hot pursuit of a criminal named Vedha. Though the cop manages to capture him several times, Vedha always slips away after distracting him with a captivating story from his life. Aamir will reportedly play Vedha with Saif as the righteous cop.

4. They’re Prejudiced: Govinda to Trolls Questioning His ‘Avatar’ Tale

Actor Govinda became the target of several jokes on social media after declaring in an appearance on television show Aap Ki Adalat that director James Cameron had approached him for a role in his 2009 science fiction film Avatar.

The onslaught of memes appears to have touched a nerve with the actor who told Bombay Times that while people were justified in wondering why he turned down the role, it was prejudiced of them to question whether he had been offered the role at all. He said,It’s not like meri aukad nahi hai. This is prejudiced behivour. Chai wala aagey kaise badh sakta hain? TV actors films mein kaise aa sakte hain? This is that same elitist superiority complex. Yeh galat hai. Aapko vishwas nahi karna hai toh mat kijiye but don’t say things like this.”

5. ‘Money Heist’ to Be Adapted Into a Hindi Film by Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan had recently revealed that he has signed no other film after Zero,but has a number of productions lined up, including some for Netflix. According to reports by Mumbai Mirror, the actor’s production house has now acquired rights for the Spanish series Money Heist.

The show, currently in its third season, will be adapted in the form of a feature film. It revolves around a criminal mastermind named "The Professor" who has a plan to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. To help him carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits eight people with certain abilities. The group of thieves take hostages to aid in their negotiations with the authorities, who strategize to come up with a way to capture The Professor. Eventually, the robbers prepare for a showdown with the police.
