Ajay Devgn Begins Shooting ‘Taanaji – The Unsung Warrior’
Actor Ajay Devgn has started shooting for Om Raut's film Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior. The 49-year-old actor on Tuesday took to Twitter to share the first picture from the muhurat shot as he kickstarted the shooting. In the image, Ajay can be seen conducting a prayer with Raut.
The Raid actor will play the role of Subedar Taanaji Malusare, a military leader in the army of Shivaji and also the founder of the Maratha Empire in 17th century India in the film.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, the epic drama Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior is scheduled to release on November 29, 2019.

'Star Wars' Producer Gary Kurtz Dead
"Star Wars" producer Gary Kurtz is dead. He was 78.
Kurtz died of cancer on Sunday, his family said in a statement, reports variety.com.
Kurtz had also produced "American Graffiti" and "The Dark Crystal". His career was closely aligned with that of filmmaker George Lucas, but the two parted ways after the troubled production of "The Empire Strikes Back."
Kurtz had championed "Star Wars" through multiple drafts and helped Lucas navigate 20th Century Fox's lack of enthusiasm for a movie they dismissed as a B-picture, reports IANS.

Indian Comic 'Chacha Chaudhary' to Be Recreated as Animated Series
Popular cartoonist Pran Kumar Sharma's creation and hugely popular Indian comic book "Chacha Chaudhary" will be recreated as an animated series, Technopark-headquartered Toonz Media announced on Tuesday.
P. Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Media Group, told the media here that Chacha Chaudhary, the Tintin of India is a name that is very popular and liked by both children and adults.
"The bestseller comic of Pran's features dates back to the 1960s and Toonz Media is ready to take it to the next level through an animated series," said Jayakumar.
The series in English would have 26 episodes of 22 minutes duration and would be broadcast on national and international platforms, reports IANS.

Malayalam Film's Makers Promise Entire Revenue for Flood Relief
The makers of a new film "Aickarakkonathe Bhishaguaranmaar", to be released in 100 theatres on October 5, have pledged the entire revenue towards flood relief operations.
The film is produced by UAE-based Aries Group. They have decided to use 75 per cent of the revenue earned for building homes for those who lost their homes in the worst ever floods that hit the state last month, while the remaining 25 per cent of the revenue would go to those who suffered losses and are working in the film industry.
Sohan Roy, chairman and CEO of Aries Group, said that it's their duty to help Kerala, which is going through its most devastating situation in a century, in every possible way, reports IANS.

We Need Less Corruption and Scams, Says Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan, who is all geared up for the release of his forthcoming film 'Baazaar,' says "we need less corruption and scams in the country."
Saif was present at the trailer launch of 'Baazaar' at Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
'Baazaar' is based on stock market scam and corruption. When asked about recent scams, Saif Ali Khan said, "I think it is horrible and terrible, we want less corruption and less scams."
He said artists are in a very honest line of work. "We try and make films, we try and sell films, most of the times, press is catching movie stars to make examples of, and you should catch these guys. Seriously, press should catch these guys (those who do scams) , we're nothing, we're small-time people," he said, reports IANS.
