Parineeti Replaces Shraddha in Saina Nehwal Biopic

Shraddha Kapoor has stepped down from Amole Gupte’s upcoming biopic on Saina Nehwal. Parineeti Chopra will now play the role of the badminton champion. Shraddha had earlier halted filming due to a bout of dengue and has now given up the role allegedly owing to a packed schedule.

||Superwoman|| Lilly Singh Gets Own Late Night Talk Show

Indian-Canadian YouTube star Lilly Singh, aka ||Superwoman|| will host her own late night talk show on NBC titled A Little Late With Lilly Singh. She will be replacing Last Call’s Carson Daly. The show is expected to air in September. Singh made an official announcement on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Salman Khan's Next Project a Wedding Drama?

Salman Khan, who is busy promoting his upcoming venture Notebook, has begun work on another project, Mumbai Mirror reported. According to reports, the makers have approached Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actress Nushrat Bharucha to play the lead. Also, Raaj Shaandilyaa, who has written the dialogue and screenplay for Sohail Khan’s Freaky Ali, has been brought on board to pen the dialogues. The film is reportedly a wedding drama set in a small town.

Vivek Oberoi Film 'PM Narendra Modi' Gets Release Date

PM Narendra Modi, an upcoming biopic on India’s incumbent prime minister, will release on 12 April. The date coincides with the country’s general elections, which commence from 11 April.

Directed by Omung Kumar (Mary Kom, Sarabjit), the film follows Narendra Modi’s journey to becoming India’s prime minister. It stars Vivek Oberoi, Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Prashant Narayanan and Zarina Wahab.

New Poster for Vidyut Jammwal's Upcoming Film 'Junglee' Released

On Friday, actor Vidyut Jammwal released the new poster for his upcoming action-adventure film Junglee. “When the jungle rises, nothing can stand in it's way. Join us in our journey to justice and in celebrating true blue friendship with #Junglee on #March29”, the actor tweeted. Directed by Chuck Russell, the film will release on 5 April 2019.

Louis Tomlinson's Sister Dead at 18

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson's sister Felicite Tomlinson is dead. She was 18.

Felicite, an aspiring fashion designer, died on Wednesday at her studio apartment here after she collapsed following a suspected heart attack, reported thesun.co.uk.

The exact cause of the death was said to be "unexplained".

A source close to Louis said that the "Miss you" hitmaker is "devastated" by the untimely demise of his sister.

Now Depp Accuses Heard of Domestic Abuse

Actor Johnny Depp has accused his former wife Amber Heard of domestic abuse.

Depp, who filed a $50 million defamation case against Heard earlier this month, denied Heard's accusations of domestic abuse against him, claiming that she used to abuse him instead, reports nme.com.

In the counter-lawsuit, Depp has accused Heard of being a "perpetrator" of domestic abuse and alleged that she attacked him numerous times, including an incident where Heard "violently" threw a bottle of vodka at him which "severed (his) middle finger on his right hand and shattered the bones, causing him to require surgery".

Heard has also been accused of punching Depp while he was in bed, kicking him on numerous occasions and staging attacks.

Depp's lawsuit calls Heard's allegations of domestic violence against him a "hoax".

"Unaware that members of Mr. Depp's security team were mere feet away, Ms. Heard falsely began yelling, ‘Stop hitting me, Johnny'.

"The interaction culminated with Ms. Heard making false allegations that Mr. Depp struck her with a cell phone, hit her and destroyed the penthouse. There were multiple eyewitnesses to this hoax."

Sonam Kapoor Partners With LA Tourism for Campaign

Actress Sonam A. Kapoor and her husband, businessman Anand Ahuja have partnered with Los Angeles Tourism for a new campaign.

The digital initiative highlights the city's vibrant arts, culture, culinary and hotel scenes, read a statement.

Tapping into Sonam and Anand's passion for reading, vegan cuisine, the film industry, basketball and art, the four-episode campaign shows them visiting the legendary Los Angeles County Museum of Art, experiencing the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, tasting chef Esdras Ochoa's famous vegan tacos at Salazar and vibing at the hot Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Los Angeles Tourism began investing in travel trade efforts in India back in 2016 and consumer marketing efforts began in 2017. In 2018, the city welcomed more than 130,000 visitors from India, a 5.1 percent year-over-year increase.

The destination aims to grow its share of visitors from India and will undertake continued trade and consumer marketing initiatives throughout 2019 to include thematic familiarization tours, and trainings.

'The Sopranos' Prequel Film to Release in September 2020

The prequel film to hit HBO series The Sopranos has been officially given a release date.

The film, titled Newark, will release in the theatres in the US on September 25, 2020, reported Variety.

It was earlier given the title The Many Saints of Newark. The project is being directed by Alan Taylor from a script by show creator David Chase and Lawrence Konner.

The film, set against the backdrop of the Newark riots of the 1960s when African-Americans and Italians clashed, will feature an ensemble cast of Alessandro Nivola, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, Billy Magnussen, Corey Stoll, and Ray Liotta.

Michael Gandolfini, the son of late "The Sopranos" star James Gandolfini, is playing the younger version of his father's famous character, Tony Soprano, in the film.

The Sopranos, headlined by Gandolfini, was one of HBO’s most critically acclaimed shows. It ran for six seasons and won 21 Emmys.
