'Mission Mangal' Declared Tax-Free in Maharashtra

Akshay Kumar’s latest release Mission Mangal has been declared tax-free in Maharashtra. The film is based on the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Mars Orbiter Mission, aka Mangalyaan, which was launched in 2013. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari.

Katy Perry to Headline OnePlus Music Festival in Mumbai

Pop star Katy Perry is set to headline the inaugural edition of the OnePlus Music Festival in Mumbai. The festival will be held at DY Patil Stadium on 16 November. The ‘Teenage Dream’ singer said in a statement confirming the news, “I am so happy to be returning to India and excited to headline my first-ever performance in Mumbai. I am looking forward to seeing and singing with all of my Indian KatyCats at the OnePlus Music Festival.” Katy and former husband comedian Russell Brand were wed in Rajasthan in 2010. She also performed at the Indian Premiere League (IPL) in 2012.

Farhan Akhtar Starts Shooting for 'Toofan'

Six years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Farhan Akhtar is all set to star in another sports drama, titled Toofan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film is a story of a boxer. Shooting for the film has finally begun, and Farhan took to Instagram to post about the first day of shooting.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film is not a biopic. It’s a fictional story written by Anjum Rajabali, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

John Abraham to Team up With Kajal Aggarwal for 'Mumbai Saga'

John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi have teamed up to play the protagonists in Sanjay Gupta’s gangster drama Mumbai Saga. Now Kajal Aggarwal has joined the cast of the film. She will star opposite John Abraham, reported Mumbai Mirror. Mumbai Saga marks Sanjay Gupta’s return to this genre six years after Shootout At Wadala.

“All my films have had strong women characters. Since this characters starts off as John’s girlfriend and then becomes his wife, I wanted someone who could play a 17-year-old as well as someone in her 30s. I love Kajal’s work and she is perfect for this role”, Sanjay Gupta told Mumbai Mirror.
