‘Laila Majnu’: It’s All About the Feelings & the Madness
The film is being directed by Sajid Ali.
The legendary lovers Laila Majnu are making a comeback yet again on screen, this time under the direction of Sajid Ali. Starring newcomers, whose identity have been kept well under wraps, Laila Majnu is being produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and presented by Imtiaz Ali.
The makers shared a couple of posters of the film. Ekta Kapoor took to social media to talk about how it’s unreasonable feelings that determine the paths of true passion.
This is not the first time that Bollywood has made a film based on the legendary love story of Laila and Majnu. HS Rawail’s Laila Majnu back in 1976 featuring Rishi Kapoor and Ranjeeta in the lead was a huge hit.
Laila Majnu was scheduled to release on 24 August. It will now release on 7 September.
