The trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 film ‘Lucifer’, ‘L2: Empuraam’, dropped on Thursday and it promises the same thrills & spectacle as its predecessor.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the socio-political drama stars Mohanlal as Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Ab'raam.
The trailer opens with PK Ramdas’ (Sachin Khedekar) voiceover hailing his followers as his legacy. Jathin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas) and Manju Warrier as Priyadarshini Ramdas also feature as crucial parts of this political saga.

Amidst subterfuge and sabotage, one name is on everyone's mind, the people's messiah, Lucifer.
This time around the trailer hints at a deeper exploration of his character and his affiliations, answering some of the questions about who ‘Lucifer’ really is.
‘L2: Empuraam' also stars Abhimanyu Singh, Andrea Tivadar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Jerome Flynn among others. Flynn, best known for his role in ‘Game of Thrones’ will make his Indian cinema debut with this film.
‘L2: Empuraan’ will have a simultaneous release in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil on 27 March.
