The first song from Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming thriller Badla is suitably dramatic and poignant. Titled ‘Kyun Rabba’, the lyrics and video of the song allude to the emotional turmoil that Taapsee’s character experiences after having a secret affair. She also soon becomes embroiled in a murder and can be seen being escorted by police personnel who fit her with an ankle monitor to track her whereabouts. The song has been composed by Amaal Malik with lyrics by Kumaar and performed by Armaan Malik.

Badla marks the second time Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu will be seen on screen together after 2016’s Pink. The film is a revenge thriller and an official remake of Spanish title Contratiempo. It has been directed by Sujoy Ghosh and backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Productions.

The film hits theatres on 8 March.
