Konkona Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar's upcoming film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare will get its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, which will be held in South Korea from 3 October to 12 October. Konkona shared the news in a tweet writing, "Super excited for World Premiere of #DollyKittyAurWohChamakteSitare at 24th Busan International Film Festival! Cheers to the whole team!"

The film has been directed by Alankritha Shrivastava (Lipstick Under My Burkha), produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, and also stars Vikrant Massey, Kubbra Sait, Amol Parashar and Karan Kundra. While the story has been kept under wraps, Alankritha told mid-day that the film is her "boldest attempt at expressing the moral ambiguity of women."

Vineet Kumar Singh's comedy drama Aadhaar and Tannishtha Chatterjee's directorial debut film Roam Rome Mein, which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will also have their world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. "Nawaz and I had Dekh Indian Circus in Busan a few years back. That film won both of us a National award. In the last few years I’ve had many films in Busan as an actor but each time something came up and I never could make it to the festival. So, this is a very special moment where I am doing the world premiere of my debut film in a festival which I have always wanted to go," said Chatterjee in a statment.

Set in the streets of Mumbai, the film tells the story of a flower seller who has to choose between protecting her family and allowing herself to fall in love.

Shonali Bose directorial The Sky Is Pink, which stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, will also reportedly be part of the festival.
