Kohl-Eyed Akshay Kumar in First Look of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’
The film is an adaptation of ‘Kanchana’
On 18 May, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar just dropped the first poster of his upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb. The film also stars Kiara Advani and is scheduled to be released on 5 June, 2020.
In the poster of Laxmmi Bomb, we can see a closeup of Akshay Kumar as he wears kohl under his eyes.
“Bringing you one bomb of a story, #LaxmmiBomb starring @Advani_Kiara & yours truly! Bursting in cinemas on 5th June,2020” he wrote on Twitter.
Laxmmi Bomb will be directed by Raghava Lawrence. It will be a Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios Production in association with Shabinaa Entertainment and Tusshar Entertainment House.
Kiara Advani also shared the poster on Instagram.
“Excited to announce my next film with the one and only @akshaykumar #LAXMMIBOMB”, she wrote on Instagram.
In April, Kiara Advani had shared a photo from her first day on the sets of Laxmmi Bomb. In the photo she is holding a clapper board which says ‘Laaxmi Bomb’. Although, now we know that the film’s title is Laxmmi Bomb.
Laxmmi Bomb is based on the original Kanchana which is a horror comedy featuring Raghava Lawrence, Sarath Kumar and Raai Laxmi. The film revolves around vengeful ghosts who, in an attempt to get justice for their murders, haunt an innocent man.
According to a report by Firstpost, Akshay’s character gets possessed by the spirit of a transperson. Kiara Advani will be playing the romantic interest of the protagonist (Akshay Kumar) in the film.
Kiara Advani will next be seen in Kabir Singh opposite Shahid Kapoor. Kabir Singh is a Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy. It will release on 21 June. She will also be in upcoming comedy film Good News, which also stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh.
Akshay Kumar was last seen in period drama film Kesari.
