Karwaan, starring Irrfan Khan, DulQuer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar, opened to strong competition from Fanney Khan and Mulk. Can the quirky road film directed by Akarsh Khurana win over the audience?

Though the film fared poorly on day 1, raking in only Rs 1.5 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama, the collection grew considerably on day 2 bringing the total up to Rs 4.20 crore. Word-of-mouth is bound to boost the film’s fortunes further.

The film revolves around three somewhat twisted people on a road trip to collect and deliver a couple of exchanged dead bodies. Irrfan is in his element and delivers those one-liners like only he can.
