The much-awaited trailer of Judgementall Hai Kya is finally out and we can’t contain our excitement. Starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, the film has been embroiled in controversies since the original title (Mental Hai Kya) was announced.

From the very beginning, the trailer makes one thing clear - that both Kangana and Rajkummar’s characters are unusual. Their eccentricities are introduced to us in the context of a murder mystery. But the trailer itself is more about Kangana and Rajkummar’s characters than the mystery. As the trailer progresses, we watch the two main characters fall in love. Until suddenly, they’re both fighting to save their own lives and have turned against each other.

Take a look at the trailer:

Ahead of the trailer release, the makers had dropped a new motion poster of the film. Producer Balaji Motion Pictures shared the poster on his Instagram on Monday, writing “We want to figure out what's spinning in her insane mind. But would that be too judgemental? Trailer out tomorrow! #JudgementalHaiKya #TrustNoOne”

The motion poster features Rajkummar sitting on top of a washing machine making out with an unseen woman while Kangana hides in the machine and stalks him.

On Saturday 29 June, the film’s title was changed from Mental Hai Kya to Judgementall Hai Kya following backlash from the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS), which objected to the original title calling it discriminatory and stigmatising.

Judgementall Hai Kya has been written by Kanika Dhillon and helmed by National award-winning director Prakash Kovelamudi. It brings together Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao for the second time after 2013’s Queen. The duo play bickering neighbours who are pitted against one another and try to one-up each other. The film releases in theatres on 26 July.
