What’s in a Name? SRK Pays Ranbir Kapoor for ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’

The star parted with Rs 5,000 and asked RK to pay Karan Johar for the ‘Jab’ in the title as well.

The Jagga Jasoos star had thus lain claim on the title of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal. Ranbir Kapoor confessed that he was the one who suggested the name for Imtiaz Ali’s film and so should win the Rs 5,000 prize money. Shah Rukh Khan however denied it in an earlier tweet:

But SRK seems to have relented at last and paid up Ranbir. He took to social media to share a picture of himself handing over Rs 5,000 to a gleeful Ranbir with the caption, “Jagga Jasoos we r quits now!!! Hisaab barabar. Give @karanjohar his share for the ‘Jab’ part in JHMS please.”

The stars rang in Imtiaz Ali’s birthday toegther last night.

Apparently, Ranbir met with the team of Imtiaz’s film while shooting at Mehboob Studio where he gave them the title.

Hum sab van mein baithe the, we were discussing titles toh maine yeh title suggset kiya, sab hanse mere pe , bole bahut bakwas title hai and they laughed. Cut to aaj, unka poster release hua with my title. So bahut khushi mehsoos hoti hai ki main ek chota sa hissa hoon iss film ka.
