Is There a Sridevi Biopic in the Works?

Boney Kapoor is reportedly working hard to get a copyright on the actor’s life story.

Yes, you read that right. If media reports are to be believed, Boney Kapoor is planning a biopic on his late wife and superstar Sridevi.

According to Deccan Chronicle, Boney is working hard to get a copyright on the actor’s life story as several filmmakers are planning a film on her. A source told the publication:

“Boney wants to copyright her (Sridevi) life story so that only he will be able to make his wife’s biopic the way he wants to.”

Several books on the actor, who passed away in Dubai suddenly on 24 February 2018, are also being talked about. The source added: “Several journalists and authors have approached Boney and he may very soon select someone to write on Sridevi. There are many plans to further the Sri legend in 2019.”

Sridevi and Boney’s eldest daughter Janhvi made her Bollywood debut last year with Dhadak. Their younger daughter Khushi will reportedly also be launched by Karan Johar this year.
