At the launch of Kaveree Bamzai’s book, No Regrets: The Guilt-Free Woman's Guide To A Good Life on Friday, filmmaker Farah Khan was asked if she believes the film industry is male-dominated. Farah Khan said, “No, I don’t think so.” She went on to explain that she doesn’t think that is the case anymore and that whichever artiste brings in the money becomes the superstar, regardless of their gender.

Farah Khan’s last directorial venture was 2014's Happy New Year. She recently announced that she will be directing a film next year which will be produced by Rohit Shetty via his banner Rohit Shetty Picturez. Speculations say that the two are working on a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1982 film Satte Pe Satta. However, Farah commented, “There is a lot of speculation, I don't know if I am making this film. We don't know what we are making,"
