Paresh Rawal to Be Part of Varun Dhawan & Sara Ali Khan-Starrer 'Coolie No 1' Remake

David Dhawan is all set to remake his 1995 blockbuster Coolie No 1 that starred Govinda in the lead. Reportedly, Varun Dhawan will star in the remake of the film as the protagonist, and Sara Ali Khan will step into Karisma Kapoor’s shoes. The film will go on floors on 5 August in Bangkok, and Paresh Rawal has joined the cast, Mumbai Mirror reported.

“Paresh Rawal will essay the role of Sara Ali Khan’s father, Hoshiyar Chand. Originally, the character was played by Kader Khan. The new role has been tweaked a little to suit the modern sensibilities”, a source told Mumbai Mirror.

Kareena Slays as a Cop in Her First Look From ‘Angrezi Medium’

Kareena Kapoor is busy preparing for Angrezi Medium, directed by Homi Adjania. The film will also see Irrfan Khan coming back after his long treatment with cancer. Kareena plays a cop in the film, and her first look has been shared online. In the photo, Kareena is dressed in casuals, with a badge clipped to her waist.

The photo was shared on Sunday (30 June), marking Kareena’s 19th year in Bollywood. Currently, the team is shooting for Angrezi Medium in London.

‘Article 15’ Wins Audience Award at London Indian Film Festival

Anubhav Sinha’s latest directorial Article 15, which hit theatres on 28 June, seems to be winning the hearts of not just Indian viewers but audiences abroad as well. According to a report by Variety, the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer won the audience award at London Indian Film Festival (LIFF). London Indian Film Festival is Europe’s largest South Asian film festival. The hard-hitting drama opened the 10th edition of London Indian Film Festival and was received very well by international audiences.

Sunidhi Chauhan and Armaan Malik to Lend Their Voices to 'The Lion King' Soundtrack

Singer Sunidhi Chauhan and Armaan Malik will be singing tracks for the Hindi version of Disney’s upcoming live-action film The Lion King. Sunidhi and Armaan will lend their musical touch to the Hindi soundtrack of the film. Armaan will sing the popular 'Hakuna Matata' and also a duet with Sunidhi. The original soundtrack of the 1994 film featured songs by Elton John and a score by Hans Zimmer.

ED Summons Dino Morea, DJ Aqueel in Bank Fraud Probe Case

The ED has summoned Bollywood actor Dino Morea and DJ Aqeel for questioning in the Sterling Biotech alleged bank fraud and money laundering probe case, officials said Monday.

The actor and the popular DJ have been asked to depose before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as it has got evidence that the two were paid some money by the Gujarat-based pharmaceutical group in the past, they said.

They will be questioned about the circumstances of these payments made out of the proceeds of crimes identified in the case and their statements will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the officials said.

The agency last week had made one of its largest PMLA attachments and frozen assets worth 9,778 crore of the group in India and abroad. The purported Rs 8,100 crore bank loan fraud is being alleged to have been perpetrated by the Vadodara-based pharma firm and its main promoters Nitin Sandesara, Chetan Sandesara and Deepti Sandesara, all of whom are absconding.

The Sandesaras are also under probe for their alleged nexus with some high-profile politicians by the ED as also by the CBI and the Income Tax Department under criminal sections that deal with corruption and tax evasion respectively.

Netflix Unveils First Look at Henry Cavill in ‘The Witcher’ Series

Netflix has released the first look at their upcoming fantasy series The Witcher based on the hugely successful video game of the same name. The show stars Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill in an ensemble cast.

The streaming giant shared a motion poster featuring Cavill and also debuted the new logo for the series. The actor known most popularly for his role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe films plays the lead character of Geralt from the game. The poster sees Geralt decked out in battle armour looking out at the sea with his back to the camera. The tweet reads, “The worst monsters are the ones we create.”

'Jumanji: The Next Level' Trailer Out

The trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level dropped today. The film is slated to release in December. A sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, this trailer is a journey in itself and gives us a hint into what we can expect. The film also stars Nick Jonas.
