1. ‘Dangal’ Star Zaira Wasim Quits Bollywood Over Religious Concerns

National Award-winning actor Zaira Wasim, best known for her roles in Dangal and Secret Superstar, announced her "disassociation" from the field of acting on Sunday, 30 June. Zaira has stated that she was not happy with the line of work as it interfered with her faith and religion.

In a detailed text note on her Instagram page, which she later shared across all social media platforms, the Kashmiri-born star who debuted only 5 years ago in the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal said she realised "though I may fit here perfectly, I do not belong here".

British X-Men and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner got married a second time to American singer Joe Jonas in France on Saturday 29 June. The wedding was purely a family and friends affair. That meant Priyanka Chopra and husband/Joe’s brother Nick Jonas were also there to support the newly wed couple and look stunning along the way.

Priyanka went traditional desi with a gorgeous flowing pink saree while Nick kept it classic with a black tuxedo and flower lapel pin. Priyanka also wore flowers in her hair.

3. Tanmay Bhat Shares Post on Depression & MeToo, Aditi Mittal Reacts

Comedian Tanmay Bhat revealed on Instagram that he is suffering from clinical depression and is worried he might never get back to working in comedy or "operating to my potential". Now female comedian Aditi Mittal has criticised the post, claiming that Tanmay brushed away the allegations that led him to step back from comedy, and listed instances where Tanmay participated in or ignored her being verbally harassed by male comedians.

In a series of tweets, Aditi wrote, “Damn. I remember when I had to hear on the set of a show that I was working on that I gave "tit access too soon" coz it was told by Tanmay Bhat to the 22 year old writers on that set.I spent a year saying no to work after that coz I was terrified I would have to hear that again.”

4. Omar Abdullah, Taslima Nasreen React to Zaira Quitting Acting

Hours after National Award-winning Dangal star Zaira Wasim announced her "disassociation" from the field of acting, political leaders from Jammu and Kashmir supported her decision and wished her luck.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah wrote on Twitter, "Who are any of us to question @ZairaWasimmm's choices? It's her life to do with as she pleases. All I will do is wish her well & hope that what ever she does makes her happy."

5. Box Office: Ayushmann’s ‘Article 15’ Jumps to Rs 12.27 Cr on Day 2

Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Article 15 directed by Anubhav Sinha has seen a jump in its box-office earnings on day 2 of release.

The film made Rs 7.25 core on Saturday bringing its total gross to Rs 12.27 crore. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Article15 jumps on Day 2... Trending very well at urban centres specifically... Should maintain the strong momentum on Day 3, although #INDvENG [#CWC19] cricket match might act as a speed breaker... Fri 5.02 cr, Sat 7.25 cr. Total: ₹ 12.27 cr. India biz.”
