1. ‘SOTY 2’ Trailer: Get Ready to Witness New Friendships & Rivalries

On Thursday, producer of Student of the Year 2 Karan Johar took to Twitter to share posters of the highly anticipated film. He also introduced us to the characters - Tara Sutaria as Mia and Ananya Panday as Shreya. As for Tiger Shroff, Karan had the most apt line - He’s got the ‘eye of the tiger’ & he’s not stopping at anything but the finish line. And now, the trailer of SOTY 2 is finally here.

2. He Loved Me So Much: SRK on Late ‘Fauji’ Dir Colonel Raj Kapoor

Colonel Raj Kapoor, the director who introduced Shah Rukh Khan in 1988's hit television show Fauji, passed away at a hospital in Delhi on Thursday, 11 April. He was 87.

Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to express his condolences saying that the late director “made a fauji out of a boy, like his own”.

3. Taapsee Pannu & Anubhav Sinha to Work Together Again for ‘Thappad’

After the critical and commercial success of last year’s Mulk, director Anubhav Sinha and star Taapsee Pannu will be joining hands again for a new social drama based on true events, titled Thappad. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Thappad will go on the floors in August and shoot in Delhi.

A source told the paper that Anubhav and Taapsee had decided to collaborate again while shooting Mulk and the new film is a “brave” project with Taapsee playing the role of a middle-class girl.

4. Nawazuddin’s Brother Slaps Media Publication With 100 Cr Law Suit

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother, Shamas Siddiqui has filed a defamation suit worth 100 crore against a media publication for claiming that Shamas’ behavior towards female actors is objectionable. However, Shamas claims that the report by the media publication has absolutely no backing or proof.

Shamas also tweeted his concerns: “this is called a shit journalism @AmarUjalaNews don't target anyone, its a 100Cr Defamation on @AmarUjalaNews and now we will meet at #MUMBAIHIGHCOURT defiantly.”

5. Disney Announces Original Marvel Shows & Films on Streaming Site

From Marvel studios, the site will offer five original series in the first year.

Disney raised the curtain on a hotly anticipated video steaming service that's aiming to topple industry pioneer Netflix. The service, called Disney Plus, has been in the works for more than year, but Thursday marked the first time that the longtime entertainment powerhouse has laid out plans for its attack on Netflix. The streaming platform will be officially launched on 12 November, 2019 in the US. In India, Disney+ will be teaming up with Hotstar.

All the latest Marvel movies will be dropped. Disney shows like That’s So Raven and Lizzie McGuire will also be available for streaming.
