Vinod Chopra Films’ latest release Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has failed to make much of a splash at the box office since its premiere on 1 February. The Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Anil Kapoor starrer “finds limited patronage” according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Though “multiplexes of select metros witnessed growth over the weekend, the overall (box office collection) is low”, he noted. The film earned Rs 13.53 crore on its opening weekend.

Vinod Chopra Films’ latest release saw a slow start on day 1 and collected Rs 7.95 crore by day 2. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh observed that the Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Sonam Kapoor starrer was better received in metros though collections ought to have been more considering its low earnings on the day of its premiere.

While the film has got good reviews, they are yet to translate to good word-of-mouth and better business.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga deals with a lesbian romance, which is a first for a mainstream Bollywood film. Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and co-written by Gazal Dhaliwal, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is estimated to have been made at a total cost of Rs 35 crore including print and publicity expenses.
