Ae Watan gave you the patriotic feels and now Dilbaro weaves in its melody the heat-rending father-daughter bond.

Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar, is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat and produced by Karan Johar and Junglee Pictures.

The film is a thriller set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war with Alia Bhatt playing the role of a Kashmiri spy who marries into a Pakistani family. Vicky Kaushal plays the role of a Pakistani army officer who is besotted by Alia’s character and marries her.

Set against the backdrop of Sehmat’s wedding to Pakistani army officer Iqbal Syed, the song begins with a Kashmiri couplet. Harshdeep Kaur’s voice lends a moving euphony to the song. Penned by lyricist Gulzar, the song dwells on the bond that a father and a daughter share.

Raazi stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
