The much-awaited teaser for the upcoming period drama film Kalank was released earlier today and now the largely positive reaction has taken a turn. Described as “a story of turbulent relationships and eternal love” by Karan Johar himself, the film is set in 1940s. The star-studded cast includes Madhuri Dixit as Bahaar Begum, Alia Bhatt as Roop, and Sanjay Dutt as Balraj Chaudhry, Aditya Roy Kapur as Dev Chaudhry, Varun Dhawan as Zafar, and Sonakshi Sinha.

Complete with extravagant sets, beautiful costumes, and breathtaking performances by the actors, the teaser video hints at a tale of eternal love and complicated familial relationships in a conflict-ridden pre-Independence India. The internet went wild over the teaser with memes immediately circulating on social media.

However one eagle-eared Twitter user has alleged that the background music in the teaser is very similar to the theme from the popular American superhero TV series The Flash.

Judge for yourself. Here’s the teaser again.

And here’s the Flash theme.

Film critic Raja Sen retweeted, saying, “The has ripped off the theme music from . How quintessentially Bollywood to even slow down the music for the world’s fastest man.”
