Details for Salman & Alia’s Roles in SLB’s ‘Inshallah’ Revealed?
The two stars are paired together for the first time.
Plot details from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Inshallah starring Salman and Alia have reportedly leaked, including the nature of the two stars’ roles in the film. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film is a “contemporary romance rooted in Indian culture” and will go on the floors in September.
Fans and the industry were delighted at the news of Salman working with his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam director after 20 years. But the casting of Alia in the female lead came as a big surprise, considering the two have never worked together and Salman is 27 years her senior. The new report claims that Salman & Alia will in fact be romantically paired in the film, and their age difference will be acknowledged.
Salman will be playing a businessman in his 40s and Alia an aspiring actor in her 20s. “The story will justify the teaming up of two actors, from different generations, on a romantic journey,” a source told the newspaper.
The production is looking for locations around the Ganga, with towns like Haridwar, Rishikesh and Varanasi being considered for the film’s setting. A major winter schedule will also be shot in the US.
Salman will jump into Inshallah after completing Dabangg 3, while Alia will wrap up SS Rajamouli’s RRR and dad Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 first.
