Karan Johar confirms that fantasy adventure Brahmastra will release during Christmas in 2019. The film is a part of a trilogy and has been written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
It marks many firsts as all the three stars would be sharing screen space with each other for the first time. Karan Johar had earlier said that the southern superstar Nagarjuna would play a special role in his upcoming production venture.
Ranbir and Alia’s romance reportedly blossomed on the sets of Brahmastra in Israel and Bulgaria.
“It’s a modern-day film set in India as it exists today. But the reason it’s called Brahmastra is because the energies, wisdom, powers in the film come from ancient India. That’s all I would say. There are some costumes, may be not the way you’d expect them to be,” Ayan had earlier said.
