Penned by Kausar Munir, sung by Kalpana Patowary and Altamash Faridi, Begum Jaan’s new song O Re Kaharo, is a terrific addition to the film’s old school charm. All the songs of this Srijit Mukherji saga are deeply rooted in Indian classical music, but this one is especially enchanting with its striking video and powerful voices.

The new Bhojpuri touch in the song adds immense flavour and the lyrics are all about letting go.

The making of Vidya Balan’s role as Begum Jaan was also released by the makers. It comes across as a terrific journey for each and every actor on set. Watch it here:

A Vishesh Films production, the Vidya Balan starrer Begum Jaan is slated to release in theatres on April 14.
