‘Batla House’ Teaser: John Abraham Promises to Tell the Real Story

The teaser of John Abraham starrer Batla House, based on the true incidents of the Batla House encounter which took place in 2008, is out, and it promises to reveal the real story behind the controversial encounter of alleged Indian Mujahideen terrorists.

“Us din kya hua Batla House mein? Kya hum galat the? Kya main galat tha? (What happened in Batla House that day? Were we wrong? Was I wrong?” says John in the teaser. The actor is said to be playing the role of ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.

The teaser ends with the words: In 2008, a few gunshots created many stories. Eleven years later, we give you the real story.

Operation Batla House took place against alleged Indian Mujahideen terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. The encounter took place a week after five serial blasts (on 13 September 2008) in Delhi which killed at least 30 people were killed and over 100 injured.

In the encounter two suspected terrorists were killed and two other suspects arrested, while one managed to escape.

Starring John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur, Batla House is directed by Nikhhil Advani.

While the trailer will come out on 10 July, the film is slated to release in theatres on 15 August.
