Anurag Kashyap is particularly outraged by Karni Sena’s assault on Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He tweeted angrily about the whole incident and said that he’s ashamed of being a Rajput thanks to the ‘cowards’.

While history itself seems divided over Padmavati’s existence as fact or fiction, Anurag says that the myth of Hindu terrorism however, stands broken. Anurag also shared proof of the fact that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always seen Padmavati as a character of courage.

The filmmaker also shares his own experience of sifting myth and folklore from historical fact.

Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Leela Bhansali might be two ends of the spectrum when it comes to storytelling and visual grammar. But Kashyap finds himself in the same boat as a storyteller, and couldn’t be more vocal about this sort of bullying.
