Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back on the big screen after 5 years with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa. Here’s what she says about being a working mother and ‘comebacks’,
It haven’t felt being absent though obviously going by time and the number of releases, we have of course, I wasn’t making movies but, a lot of ladies here will nod, we have no concept of time and we don’t realise how time flies by. Being a working mother, I really did not delve into this absence factor and probably that’s why I have not necessarily focused on the comeback term. There is no going away from it, there is no running away from it, it will forever be the comeback film. I am not denying it but when I turn around and say that I haven’t felt it, that’s just the way it is.

My attraction was those punchlines, I wanted to deal with them and love them sometimes. In this, there are a few and you will remember them when you come out of the theatre.
On the first day of the shoot, I asked Sanjay when he was directing me, we were doing that Amitabh Bachchan wala scene. I said one liners kahan hai? He said “Maine rakh hai bahut sari tumhare liye” and then he started narrating one after the other and I loved it.
There is a point where Aishwarya comes and meets me and goes away, one of my guys asks “Tumne jaane diya?” he says “Mohabbat thi isliye jaane diya, zid hoti toh baahon may hoti”

3. Is Sanjay Gupta’s Film a Remake?
Even before Jazbaa’s trailer had been released, there were reports suggesting that the film is a remake of a Korean film. Director Sanjay Gupta and Aishwarya Rai further confused the matter with these answers,
It is a remake, I am not in a liberty to tell you what it is. Yes, it is a remake of a Korean film.

I am not on social media and I haven’t been on it so far. And when I go sometimes it’s on Abhishek’s account and it will be about sharing wishes and thanking obviously the millions of well-wishers for all their love and good wishes which honestly I am very, very grateful for. Irrfan Khan admitted that his biggest reason for working on Jazbaa was to be able to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Irrfan tells us why and how she made it a super special experience for him.
Aishwarya is one of the big reasons for me to do Jazbaa, I was looking forward to it. For me to know her better, to see her closely, watch her work was something I wanted to do. And nothing is more exhilarating than seeing a mother taking care of her child and at the same time shooting. It was a beautiful experience for me. Yesterday we completed the film and it’s a kind of memory we will cherish. For me, it was difficult to stand in front of her. It slowly helped me ease out.
