Ajay Devgn is very excited to present Leena Yadav’s film Parched starring Radhika Apte, Surveen Chawla and Tannishtha Chatterjee. The film reportedly takes a candid look at how the society views a widow and a sex-worker besides also taking up the issue of marital rape. The film is based in a village of India and talks about the trials and tribulations that rural women face on a day to day basis. Parched has already got a lot of appreciation from all across the world as it has been screened in 24 festivals, garnering 18 awards. The film is scheduled to release in India this month and Devgn couldn’t be prouder.

This film isn’t about women only, but also about the men... where both are victims. It is the society’s pressure which forces men to do things apart from the mindset. So, this film talks about tackling both the issues.
