There is political turmoil brewing in Karnataka as the 13-month-old coalition government is facing a crisis.

All MLAs of the ruling Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition submitted their resignations and the Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that HD Kumaraswamy resign as chief minister.

Twitter wasted no time in latching onto the dramatic turn of events.

While some called it hilarious...

Others called it never ending.

Twitter users said the people of Karnataka are suffering amidst the crisis.

Another Twitter user said “the horse-trading will be celebrated as victory of Amit Shah’s chanakyaniti.”

He also added that moral decay in Hindutva politics isn’t new.

The anger among some users was palpable though. “Nobody is interested in working for the state,” said one Twitter user.

Some Twitter users suggested that Karnataka must “decide again”.

The coalition, it appears, may collapse soon. What will be the next step for Karnataka?
