The Indian National Congress (INC) on Thursday, 29 November promised to waive farmers’ loan and provide free education to women born in Rajasthan if voted to power in the upcoming state elections.

Ahead of the Assembly polls in Rajasthan on 7 December, Rajasthan Congress Chief Sachin Pilot, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and chairman of the manifesto committee Harish Choudhary released the party manifesto.

Pilot said, “Rajasthan manifesto has been prepared after getting opinion through multiple platforms like social media.”

Congress has also promised jobs to youth, free education to women, right to health and to bring Journalist Protection Act in its manifesto.

Congress in its manifesto has also highlighted its intention to give Rs 3,500 monthly allowance to unemployed youths in the state.

Taking a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), at the release of its manifesto, Pilot said the BJP should apologise to the people of Rajasthan for all the unfulfilled promises.

“A lot of promises were made by the BJP, but a party that speaks of depositing 15 lakh rupees in every account and doesn’t deposit a single penny is now talking of giving wages.”
