'If We Form Govt, All Adult Women Will Get Rs 1,000 a Month': Kejriwal in Punjab

Every woman in Punjab above the age of 18 will get Rs 1000/month deposited directly into her account, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, announcing his 'third' electoral guarantee on Monday, 22 November.
Declaring it to be the world's 'biggest women empowerment programme', he added that if a family has three female members, then each would get Rs 1000.
"It will be world’s largest ‘women allowance’ scheme to be implemented by any government ever," the CM added.
He said that elderly women would receive the Rs 1,000 in addition to their pension.
'There is a Fake Kejriwal on the Loose'
Addressing the gathering at Moga, the CM also verbally attacked Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, calling him an imposter who is copying the Aam Aadmi Party's pre-poll promises.
"A fake Kejriwal is roaming in Punjab. Whatever I promise here, he repeats the same in a couple of days. But he does not work because he is fake. In the entire country, only one man, Kejriwal, can bring down your electricity bill to zero," Kejriwal said, alluding to Channi.
Kejriwal is on a two-day visit to the state ahead of the Assembly elections slated for 2022.
He went on to say that "I have a meeting with auto rickshaw workers today. The meeting was fixed 10 days ago. This morning, he [Channi] reached their offices. This fear is good, if this fear is sustained at least they [the state government] will get to work."
Ahead of the polls, the AAP leader has already promised up to 300 units of free electricity for each household in the state, 24-hour electricity supply and free treatment and medicines at government hospitals if he forms the government.
