A day after exit polls predicted a victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi released an audio message encouraging party workers to stay put and not feel “let down” by the projections.

She also said that the exit poll predictions and other rumours are being spread to “discourage” the workers.

“Dear workers, don’t feel let down due to the exit polls results and rumours. This is being done to discourage you. At this point, it is extremely important for you to be careful and vigilant.”

Priyanka further advised the part workers to stay vigilant and alert at the strong rooms and counting centres.

“We are hopeful that our efforts will yield positive results,” Priyanka added.

Earlier on Monday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had released a message thanking people for “participating and expressing” their right in India’s democracy.
