BJP President Amit Shah on Monday, 22 April ,said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “sent his Air Force” to destroy terror camps in Pakistan after the deadly Pulwama attack in February this year, reported news agency ANI.

“Forty four jawans were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack. Earlier, nothing used to happen after such incidents. Narendra Modi ordered his Air Force on the 13th day (of the incident) and our aircraft blew the terrorists to pieces in Pakistan,” Shah said at a rally in Krishnanagar in West Bengal.

Taking a swipe at Shah’s statement, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that everything that was India’s has become Modi’s in the last five years.

He also added, “Desh chala rahe the ya PUBG khel rahe the? (Were you running a country or playing PUBG?)”

Shah’s remark comes weeks after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the armed forces as “Modi ji ki sena” The Election Commission had served him a notice and cautioned against making any such utterances in the future.

Earlier, Election Commission directed the police to file an FIR against BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur for her remark that she was "proud" of her participation in the demolition of the Babri Masjid at Ayodhya in 1992.
