Irom Sharmila on PRJA Party and How AFSPA Needs a Political Fight

In an exclusive interview with The Quint , Irom Chanu Sharmila, who is fighting the election against Manipur CM Okram Ibobi Singh from Thoubal constituency, made some startling revelations.

She revealed that the BJP allegedly suggested that they can give her Rs 36 crore if she contested the election against the CM on a BJP ticket. The BJP’s General Secretary Ram Madhav tweeted saying Sharmila’s allegations are baseless.

She further said that many parties like AAP, BJP etc had contacted her when she announced that she’s getting into politics.
