Minutes after the last vote was polled in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress President Rahul Gandhi hit out at the Election Commission saying that it is no more ‘feared and respected’.

In a tweet encompassing almost all the allegations that were made by the Opposition in the poll season, he touched upon issues ranging from EVMs to scheduling of elections.

“From Electoral Bonds & EVMs to manipulating the election schedule, NaMo TV, “Modi’s Army” & now the drama in Kedarnath; the Election Commission’s capitulation before Mr Modi & his gang is obvious to all Indians. The EC used to be feared & respected. Not anymore,” he tweeted.

Polling concluded for the 542 seats of Lok Sabha on Sunday evening, after the Election Commission, in a press conference, announced so.
