The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) sitting MP from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, Bhola Singh, reportedly entered a polling booth even after he was stopped from doing so by a security personnel, on Thursday, 18 April.

Singh was also wearing a band carrying the party’s symbol, which amounts to a potential violation of the model code of conduct.

Singh arrived at a polling station and was initially barred from entering by the security forces. Later, however, the District Magistrate reportedly allowed him to enter the booth.

In yet another video clipping, Singh can be seen inside the booth, being escorted by a security personnel.

Bulandshahr is among the eight seats in Uttar Pradesh, polling in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections.
