After Arnab Goswami, Navika Kumar, ABP News, the prime minister sat down with actor Akshay Kumar for a freewheeling chat that lasted 70 minutes and was telecast on Wednesday, 24 April, morning.

Having asked questions on his hobbies, family, sleep schedule, diet, among many other such queries, Akshay Kumar whipped out a sleek tablet and proceeded to lighten the mood by showing PM Modi a bunch of memes.

WhatsApp University researchers have recently concluded that memes are the cultural currency of our times. Therefore, in election season, here are six memes related to the elections that Khiladi Kumar could have shared with Modi.

Using Pulwama-Balakot for Votes

PM Modi and several BJP leaders have been criticised for using Pulwama martyrs and the Balakot air-strikes to ask for votes despite a clear diktat by the Election Commission to not use the armed forces for election campaigning.

Seasoned Election Campaigning

Speaking of Model Code of Conduct violations, this election season has witnessed some innovative side-stepping around the MCC like a PM Modi biopic and NaMo TV that has been running without a broadcast license.

Addressing Burning Issues

In all the election interviews that PM Modi has given thus far and the public rallies he has addressed, there has curiously been little time spent on addressing issues like the aftermath of demonetisation, job loss report, agricultural distress or lynchings of minorities.

Selecting Ideal Candidates

The induction of Malegaon blast accused Pragya Thakur into the BJP and speculations of her getting an election ticket from Bhopal has snowballed into a major controversy.

Nehru Doesn't Let the PM Work

From terrorism to joblessness, India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru has often borne the brunt of being blamed by PM Modi. A WhatsApp joke doing the rounds asks what the point of re-electing Modi is if Nehru isn’t going to let him work again.

On Commitment to Science and Rationality

Among the many dubious claims that Pragya Thakur has made since joining the BJP is cow urine curing cancer.
