AAP's south Delhi candidate Raghav Chadha on Sunday, 12 May, accused BJP workers of casting bogus votes in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar. No immediate reaction was available from the BJP or the police.

Chadha alleged that BJP workers have colluded with the police and are casting their ballots repeatedly, after removing the indelible ink marks on their fingers.

“BJP workers are moving around in a polling booth in Sangam Vihar, wearing the party scarves... a person voted four times. We identified 8-10 such people and caught one red-handed.”

He claimed that these tactics are being employed by his BJP rival, Ramesh Bidhuri.

“Bidhuri is losing the elections... people hate him. So, he is trying to influence the elections with bogus voting,” Chadha added.

He also accused a police officer of being irresponsible. “The officer was conspiring with the BJP to let the same person vote multiple times,” he said.

“The said voter is being questioned and his voter ID has been confiscated. We are taking him to different polling rooms to gauge just how many times he has voted,” Chadha added.
