Government of Manipur has extended complete lockdown in the state till 31 August, reported ANI, citing a government circular.

With a spike of 65,002 cases and 996 deaths reported in India in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 tally in the country rises to 25,26,193 including 6,68,220 active cases, 18,08,937 discharged/migrated and 49,036 deaths, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday, 15 August.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was undergoing treatment for coronavirus, said on Friday, 14 August, that he has tested negative for COVID-19, reported PTI.

Pranab Mukherjee's Condition Unchanged

The condition of ex-President Pranab Mukherjee remains unchanged on Saturday morning and he continues to be on ventilatory support, Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantonment said. His vital and clinical parameters remain stable and he is being closely monitored by a team of specialists, ANI reports.
