“We Love the Same Biryani”: Independence Day Bol from Karachi
We talk the same, we look the same, we love biryani & chai; why don’t we love each other, asks Rabia from Pakistan.
My name is Rabia and I’m a Pakistani. And like many other people from my country, I don’t hate India or Indians. To tell you the truth, I have a lot of Indian friends, who are sweet and kind.
It’s amazing how similar people from both our countries are.
A few days ago, I got trolled heavily because I had commented on an Indian Facebook page. I was called a terrorist and what not. But that didn’t anger me. I didn’t troll them back either. Instead, I responded to most of them with a smile and a peace sign. Love can win many challenges. Soon those dreadful hate comments died down. In fact, some of them even became my friends on social media.
I would love to visit India, it’s on my bucket list.
